Midleton Very Rare 2026 is the 43rd annual release in one of Irish whiskey’s most celebrated collections. Created by Master Distiller Kevin O’Gorman, this exceptional vintage brings together five carefully selected styles of single pot still and single grain Irish whiskey, matured in seasoned American oak casks at the Midleton Distillery in County Cork.

The result is an elegant, complex and beautifully balanced whiskey that combines the floral delicacy of mature grain whiskey with the rich fruit, distinctive texture and warming spice of Midleton’s single pot still spirit. Vibrant citrus and orchard-fruit flavours are layered with vanilla, cinnamon, toffee and gently seasoned oak, creating a refined expression with impressive depth and a long, lingering finish.

Each annual Midleton Very Rare release is produced in limited quantities, individually numbered and presented in an elegant gift box. The 2026 vintage is a highly collectable Irish whiskey and an exceptional choice for marking a milestone, celebrating a special occasion or adding to a serious whiskey collection.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Fresh and vibrant aromas of orange peel and lemon zest open the whiskey, followed by soft apricot and ripe orchard fruits. Sweeter notes of crème brûlée and toffee gradually emerge, accompanied by floral and herbal nuances, traditional pot still spice and the elegant influence of American oak.

Palate: Rich, silky and mouth-coating, with generous fruit flavours supported by soft oak tannins. Vanilla and cinnamon are joined by peeled ginger and fresh lemon zest, bringing brightness and balance to deeper notes of butterscotch, caramel and toffee.

Finish: Long, elegant and satisfyingly complex. The pot still spices slowly recede, leaving lingering layers of ripe fruit, vanilla and seasoned oak.
