Midleton Barry Crockett Legacy Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey – 700ml, 46% ABV.

The pinnacle of the Single Pot Still range from Midleton Distillery, Co. Cork, and the first permanent Single Pot Still whiskey in the Midleton stable. Named in honour of Barry Crockett, second-generation Master Distiller at Midleton, it marked the first time since John Jameson that an Irish Distillers whiskey carried a Master Distiller's name.

Made from a mash of malted and unmalted barley and triple distilled in traditional copper pot stills, the whiskey is drawn from a selection of pot still distillates matured almost exclusively in American bourbon barrels, with a subtle contribution from spirit aged in unseasoned American oak. The result is classic pot still character – full, complex and creamy – with a refined, poised finish.

A multi-award winner, including Master at the Irish Whiskey Masters in 2021 and 2022.

Tasting Notes

• Nose: Elegant vanilla and toasted oak, lifted by lime, succulent green berries, pear and a touch of green sweet pepper.
• Taste: Light pepper into fresh citrus – lime and mandarin sweetness – with a hint of cinnamon, vanilla and oak.
• Finish: The full spectrum of flavour lasts deep into the finish, slowly fading to reveal the clean American oak foundation.
